Pedro Lopez, also known as The Monster of the Andes, was a notorious serial killer who preyed on young girls in South America during the 1970s. He confessed to killing over 300 young girls but some believe the number could be much higher. Lopez would lure his victims with promises of candy or money before brutally raping and murdering them. His crimes went undiscovered for years until he was finally caught in 1980. Despite his shocking confession, Lopez only served 14 years in prison due to a lenient legal system and was released for good behavior. He vanished after his release and his current whereabouts remain unknown. The story of Pedro Lopez serves as a chilling reminder of the evil that lurks among us.
